Victims of Crime

VACP is designed to assist victims in their recovery from the impact of a crime. A victim of crime is a person who has suffered harm because of a criminal act.   Harm can be physical injury, emotional trauma or financial loss. The service is available to those whose life has been affected as a direct result of a crime.  This can include primary victims, family members and friends, as well as witnesses to a crime. All victims will be treated with courtesy, dignity and respect.
